MOMA Scholarship which is started by the Ministry of Minority Affairs is a great initiative under which those students belongs to six different minority communities Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Buddhist, Jain, and Zoroastrian will be able to avail the scholarship under three different scholarship Pre-matric scholarships, Post-matric scholarships and Merit-cum-Means Scholarship for Professional and Technical Courses.

MOMA Scholarship 2021

So those who will able to win this national minority scholarship will be eligible to get an amount of Rs 20,000 per annum. And the government has decided to distribute 5 Lakh scholarships under the post-matric scholarship scheme, 30 lakh scholarships under the pre-matric scholarship scheme, and 60,000 scholarships under merit-cum-means scholarship to the students who are pursuing their professional and technical courses at the graduate or postgraduate level.

Different Types of MOMA Scholarship

To help the minority communities student there are three different scholarships are available under the MOMA organization.

Pre-Metric Scholarship

This scholarship has started to help the minority students who are at the Pre-Metric level at the education level, and these students will get an amount of Rs 600 per month and only those students will be eligible for this scholarship whose family income must not cross 1 Lakh Per annum and also the score of the previous examination must not less than 50%.

Post-Metric Scholarship

Under this scholarship, those who are studying in class 11th to Ph.D. can apply for this scholarship, and for the eligibility of this scholarship the family income of students must not surpass Rs 2 Lakh per annum and also the past score of their previous examination must not less than 50%. So those students who get selected for this scholarship will get an amount of Rs 10000 per annum and along with that, they will get an amount of Rs 1200 per month for the maintenance.

Merit-cum-Means Scholarship

Those students who want to pursue their professional or technical courses at the graduate or postgraduate level can apply for the Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship and the students who will get selected will get an amount of Rs 20,000 per annum. The family income of those students most does not surpass Rs 2.5 Lakh per annum and also the student must not score less than 50% in his previous exams then only they will eligible for the scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria For MOMA Scholarship

If you want to avail of the benefits of this scholarship they must be eligible for a few criteria that have been set by the government and below you can check the Eligibility Criteria and if you eligible then apply for the scholarship with the help of the procedure we have mentioned below.

Pre-Matric Scholarship Students must be studying in classes 1 to 10.
Students must have scored have at least 50% marks
in the previous final exam.
The annual family income must not exceed INR 1 Lakh.
Post-Matric Scholarship Students of class 11 and 12 are eligible under this scholarship scheme.
Students who have taken admission in technical and vocational courses in ITI/Industrial Training Centres affiliated with NCVT (at class 11 & 12 levels) can also apply.
Students who are pursuing Polytechnics and other courses are also eligible to apply.
Students must have scored at least 50% marks in the previous final exam.
Note: Certificate courses and any other courses of less than one-year duration are not covered under this scheme.
The annual family income must not be more than INR 2 Lakhs.
Merit-cum-Means Scholarship Students who have taken admission in technical/professional courses at the graduate or postgraduate level are eligible to apply
Students must have secured not less than 50% marks in the previous final exam.
The annual family income must not be more than INR 2.5 Lakhs from all sources.

  • The first thing you need to do is check the eligibility criteria that we have mentioned above and if you are eligible for the scholarship then proceed further.
  • Then you need to visit the official website and then you need to register yourself by click on the New Registration“.
  • Then you can see the instructions on the screen read them carefully and then click on all the declarations and then click on the continue button.
  • Then you will be redirected to a new page where you have to choose the scholarship for which you want to apply.
  • Now an application will be there on the screen, fill the form carefully, and upload the required documents will the application.
  • Now you simply need to pay your fees and click on the submit button and you are done.
